Our Annual General Meeting will be followed by an illustrated talk by our very own John Risdon and Carlton Jones (both committee members).

John will do a short talk on the history of the Brixham Railway, which operated between Churston Railway Station and Brixham Railway Station between 1868 – 1963.

This will be followed by a short talk about the Brixham Railway Heritage Trail project. This project, led by a group of locals, aims to convert the disused railway trackbed into a walking and cycling hertitage trail. The disused section currently runs from Bridge Road in Churston to North Boundary Road in Brixham.

Carlton is also a project team member of the Brixham Railway Heritage Trail project. Carlton will do a short talk about this challenging project and how plans are progressing.
