On the evening of Saturday 12th July 2025, in perfect weather conditions, 60 members of the History Group took to the waters of the Dart Estuary from Greenway Quay on the Christie Belle.
Skippered by Tom, sedate progress was made up river on a rising tide, arriving off Totnes at 7.30 p.m.- high water! A 180 degree turn and now with the tide ebbing, a controlled glide down-stream back to Greenway Quay, arriving 8.30 pm.
Our beautiful Dart did not disappoint, together with its everchanging oak-lined river banks embracing the water. A magical mix of wildlife and brief interpretation of ageless communities associated with a Regal waterway, accompanied our journey into evening and a setting sun.
A perfect celebration of friendship for all on board.
