Galmpton Kiln – Annual Tidy-up 2025

At the end of July into August, a very willing trio of Galmpton & Churston History Group supporters carried out the annual tidy-up of Galmpton’s limekiln, situated on Kiln Road, leading down to the Creek.

It is worth pointing out that without the support of people such as, Sue & Bob Miller, together with Martin Richards, the limekiln would very quickly return to how it once was before 2004.

The recovery and stabilisation of our kiln was one of the first objectives of our History Group when formed. This was led by Committee Member John Milne who is sadly no longer with us.

Very many thanks to Bob, Martin & Sue.
