With John Risdon
On Friday 23rd September I will be revisiting a number of special places that I have got to know during my life.
No longer able walk the open moor these are places that are accessible by road, often Dartmoor country lanes.
This journey, with the reality of the living landscape of the moor, will allow me to rekindle past memories of Dartmoor, its unique heritage and what it has, and still means to me, I would be delighted to share this with you should you wish.
I already have three passengers to accompany me and what I am suggesting is, like-minded friends making up a car share to join our small convoy of a maximum of six vehicles, departing 9.15 a.m.
An extended lunch break will be taken at the Stannary and Pannier Market town of Tavistock with a chance to visit the Guildhall Heritage Centre including its superb interpretation of local mining, with widespread social effects.
If you wish to participate as a car provider/driver or passenger, please let me know.
I’m suggesting that passengers will assist in covering mileage costs but there will be no other fee required for the day, just spending money!
If you wish to participate in Dartmoor Revisited – A Shared Experience please contact John Risdon, either by phone or e-mail because there is a limit on numbers.
