Dear Members,
Following our two successful strolls and cream teas during the summer, we are now preparing for our first open meeting and talk on Friday 17th September. This will be our first chance to meet socially as a group since Covid erupted and we will still proceed with caution. The hall is registered for 100 but we will restrain our number to 50 for the evening.
We will commence with a brief meeting to outline our proposed plans for the following six months. As membership and subscriptions have become slightly obscure over the past year and a half we will be welcoming all members and non-members equally at no charge for the evening. For those members registered online and unable to attend, you will be updated by e-mail immediately after the 17th September. Any constructive suggestions/comments will be much appreciated either in writing or by email before or after the 17th.
I will then have the honour in giving our first talk of the year and thought it suitable to recommence by highlighting the unique heritage of our village Galmpton, set within our parish of Churston Ferrers.
We very much look forward to seeing as many of you as possible once again.
On behalf of your Committee, very best wishes,
John Risdon, Chairman
