Illustrated talk: The Dolphin Boatyard – past, present & future

For centuries the Galmpton community has been associated with the Dart estuary, the sea, and boats. The Dolphin Boatyard, situated at the head of Galmpton Creek, has played a major part in this wonderful story of boats and the men who have built and repaired them in preparation for a life on  the seven seas. Recently Ben Morris has taken ownership of this Yard with the determination and desire to continue the story of skilled boat building and repair on the Dart.

The talk will take place on Friday 17th January at Galmpton Village Institute. The hall will be open for refreshments and a sale of 2nd hand local books from 6.45-7.15, for a 7.30pm start. Non-members welcome, admission £3.
